Quick and Easy Diabetic Milkshake

After several years of being a diabetic, it’s safe to say that you learn a thing or two. I can honestly say that I have over the years. I’ve learned how to manage my diabetes and how certain foods are metabolized and effect my body. Over those years I have found a few low sugar and low carbohydrate desserts that I like and that work with my particular case of diabetes. So today I just felt like writing about a quick and easy diabetic desserts that I have held onto for years.

I cannot say that I have had this dessert recipe for ages because well, sugar free ice cream hasn’t been around that long. Also, sugar free oreo cookies haven’t been around that long either. However, in the past I just used any sugar free chocolate cookie that I could get my hands on. Man, I have to take my hat off to the people that think about providing the public with sugar free goodness. It has really made me happy. Anyways, this recipe is simple. The ingredients include: a serving of sugar free ice cream, a couple of sugar free Oreos, and a splash of skim milk. I have a special little blender that mixes all of these ingredients up in a jiffy, but I guess that any old blender will do the trick. Once it is all nice and blended it makes a tasty treat for me whenever I get a sweet tooth. Whenever I decide to have a sugar free milkshake, I always have it in moderation. This means that I don’t have a big milkshake, its more like a small glass; just enough to satisfy my taste buds. I also like to make other desserts like chocolate pudding. A friend of mine made some one day and she engineered it with splenda so that it was sugar free or almost sugar free for that matter. You can check that diabetic recipe if you click here.
