Diabetic Apple Pie The Easy Way

Today I am here to discuss diabetic dessert recipes. Well actually, I am a diabetic and have always liked to find new and exciting things to eat. The one ingredient that I really like, sugar, has to be limited. Actually, I try to find desserts that do not have sugar in them – or at least originally. I have found that carbohydrates eventually turn into sugars in the body. So one day, I had the bright idea of trying to make an apple pie with an artificial sweetener such as splenda. The idea was simple really all I needed to do was get a pie crust, preferably wheat, some apples, and some splenda. I believe that the recipe called for brown sugar as well as regular sugar, so I found both regular splenda and brown sugar splenda to replace the two ingredients. So, after preparing this tasty, easy, dessert, I was quite surprised. It tasted really good for being made with real granny smith apples and an artificial sweetener.

I just love these apple desserts for diabetics, so I would like to talk about another recipe that I enjoy making. I use granny smith apples to make it, but all it really is, is baked apples. The idea is simple, quick, and easy, but the final product is delicious.
